For cotton and acrylic products, it is best to handwash with gentle soap and cold to warm water (to prevent shrinking).
Best to also not wring out water, just squeeze to keep crochet product in it’s original shape.
You can also put cold machine wash on gentle but stretching, piling and stuffing damages may occur.
Finally, air dry is best method to dry.
